Apartment lease renewal
My question is how much money can be inceased at the renewal of the rental lease of apartment?
I rent an apartment with $675/ a month with $310 of concession when we moved in this apartment. and I got the notice for the renewal of my rental of an apartment. In the letter, they said that they offer $785/month.
I am just wondering if there is any law for the increasement of the money for next renewal of an apartment.

In Georgia, the answer would be as much as the market will withstand. We don’t have rent control in Georgia. The only places that I recall still have rent control are Santa Monica, California and, perhaps, certain situations in NYC. The sky is the limit, unless there is a clause in your lease limiting increases. These paragraphs sometimes appear in commercial leases, but almost never in residential leases. Hugh Wood
