As a general rule, it is a bad idea to purchase a business without legal counsel. There are too many issues at stake. If it is not all that complicated, it would not be all very expensive.
Unless this business has no liability concerns and is being bought for a few thousand dollars, get an attorney to advise you. Good luck.
