moble home park manager or scam artist?
I bought a reposssed mobile home from a finance company that filed a corporate bankrutcy, reorganization, in Dec.
I have already sold it and the new owners want to move it from the mobile home park. The manager of the park called and sd we would have to pay $500 for the past lot rent and we agreed to do this. However he then called back and sd it would be $1200, trying to collect on lot rent prior to december when the finance company owned it, now he says if we will keep the mobile home there he will drop the past lot rent and give us a $100 profit for any new renter.This seems like a scam to me because he mentioned that he had tryed to buy the mobile home. He did say if we come to remove it he will have us arrested? Please let me know my rights on this. The people who bought it would like to move it this weekend. Thank you
Hello, I have been dealing with a debt collector for a car loan. I cosigned for car payment for my son and he has defaulted on the car loan. And refuses to pay for it. He has moved out of state and has made their reposession of the car even more difficult. I have however become disabled in the last 2 years and am now receiving disability SSD.
I am unable to make the 450 dollar a month car payments required. And the bank has threatened to sue to me. I have attempted to work with the bank to pay what I can but the bank is unsatisfied. Last month the bank told them if I payed them “500” dollars for 2 back payments they would cease and desist from legal actions.
However even after making that payment they have sent me a legal notice saying that they will be taking me to court if I cannot come up to 960 dollars by the 10th. Which they said they would not do. I was willing to work with the bank to what I could afford but they not satisfied with the results.
All I own is my mobile home. And I am scared to death that I will lose it if I get taken to court. I can’t file for bankruptcy for another year so I don’t know what to do. I have no assets other than my home and I am unable to work at this point. The bank is ignoring my son who is also on SSD and coming straight for me. In a year I do intend to file for bankruptcy but I have no choice until then. What options do I have?
My half sister who is 48 wants my parents to adopt her she has been known to take power of attorney of other relatives. She says she just wants Indian medical benefits. I was wondering can she legally get medical if she is not a direct desendant of my dad(not her ligit father) and also I was wondering if she is adopted and becomes a equal child what kinda powers can she obtain in my fathers estate.
landlord and tenat laws
I am having trouble getting my landlord to do repairs to my trailer. I have notified her in person over 1 year ago when I first moved in September 2007 and again almost every month with payment of rent either written or in person. I have mailed a letter to them a little over a month ago stating that the repairs have not been done with an itemized listing and when the landlord was notified etc.. I have asked when these repairs would be completed and was told on several ocassions that they were not authorized to spend any money on repairs and that a work order has been submitted. I have been waiting over a year and am getting tired of waiting for the repairs to be done. I also have a question about evictions notices/notice to quit. I recieve these notices on the 2 of the month. My questions are. What is my rights for the repairs and how to get action? When are the landlords allowed to give a notice to quit?
How to remove late renters
I had a verbal rental agreement with a person and they quit paying their rent, I am now trying to have them evicted. On the Notice to quit for non-payment of rent how many days am I required to give them to quit and leave or to pay the deliquent rent?
