Ending a Month to Month Tenancy
I have a tenant who lives in my rental property and has been a tenant of mine for only 9 months. She use to be the old owner and had lived there as the owner for 10+ years. I want to end her month to month tenancy to fix the house up and sell it. I plan on doing some major repairs to the kitchen and bathrooms so while fixing it up it will not be livable. Do I need to give her 30 days or 60 days to move out of the rental?

Without specific language in the original lease agreement, it would be 30 days. The 60-day law is no longer in effect for lengthy tenancies. It’s 90 days for Section 8 housing.
