Can a landlord close the option for a 6 month or 1 year lease agreement, and only offer tenant a month to month lease?

    I’m not clear on what you mean by “close the option” – I assume you are asking if a landlord can only offer you a month-to-month lease. If that is what you mean, and you’re not talking about a landlord in a mobile home park, then yes, the landlord can require whatever term of lease he wants. If he only wants you in there month-to-month, then he can do so. Sorry – that’s probably not the answer you want to hear.
