  1. Re: Living Will
A living will – also known as a healthcare directive – describes a person’s desires for medical treatment in terminal conditions. A living will executed in another state will ordinarily be honored by doctors in Florida as long as it is properly signed and witnessed. Florida also recognizes a durable healthcare power of attorney which specifies who can make medical decisions for a patient if the patient is incapacitated. It should have the signatures of two witnesses and be sent to the person named to make the healthcare decisions (and two other people). These documents aren’t the same as a last will and testament, which should be reviewed every few years whether a person moves or not.
