Power of Attorney
My grandfather is blind and caring for my grandmother with dementia. He wants for me to have a power of attorney for his financial and medical needs. I am unable to make a trip out of state at this time to complete the forms and have them notarized. I can download the forms and complete my portion but is there a way to complete the notarization without me being physically present?

I believe your question may be in regards to Oregon law in which I am not licensed. However, in Washington, and I would be surprised if Oregon was different, as the prospective POA you do not need to do anything at all. It is your grandfather giving you the power to so act. So, he is the only one who needs to be present with the notary. When the time comes, you can choose to exercise or not the powers granted to you by your grandfather. If your grandfather is in Washington, I can create POA documents to his specifications for nominal fees.
