Rental Lease My mom has signed a lease for an apartment.

Rental Lease
My mom has signed a lease for an apartment. They advertise and said to us that they have washer/dryer hook ups and that she could move in today. Well, first off, they do not have a washer dryer hook up, it is a 110 plug and it has to be a 220. Second of all, she has no heat, hot water, or cooking becuase at 9 am this morning when they turned the gas on, there are multiple leaks in the apartment. Can she legally get out of her lease for false advertisement and she signed her lease on the 4th and here it is the 18th and she still can’t move in?

I would want to see the lease and advertising. If the landlord knew, or should have known the plugs were inadequate, this should have been disclosed. The gas leaks are another matter. If this were sudden and unanticipated, they may be entitled to an opportunity to repair. Otherwise, it too may be a basis for rescinding the lease.
