Property is in my mothers name.

Property is in my mothers name. I handle the original lease for her and signed the original 12 month lease on a standard “NC Residential Lease Agreement”. Property is in my mothers name in my city and she lives in another city. Tenant has paid all 12 months and it has rolled over into a month to month lease. My mother has decided to have me ask the tenant to leave with a 30 day notice. It is now mid April and she wants them out by mid May with a 30 day notice. Tenant paid for all of April. Can she give a 30 day notice to tenant at mid month and expect tenant to vacate by mid month the following month (mid May)? …Or do I have to provide the 30 days notice at the end of the April so they are out 30 days after that.

Hello, as much as I hate it my girlfriend of 2 years of whom I live with is threatening to leave me… again.

Last time we went through this she wound up taking a lot of stuff with her when she left that I felt didn’t rightfully belong to her or that she didn’t need. (things such as dishware, my electronics given as gifts, gifts given to both of us mutually, etc)

If this were to happen again how should I handle the break-up?
Do I toss her out, lock the door, and tell her “see you in court”?
(I can see issues with this route per what I say next.)

Also, both of our names are on the lease agreement for the apartment but I have always made the full payments every single time by myself from my own bank account.

Myself and my soon to be husband have a house of our own. He purchased a house when he was single and so did I. I was told that after we are married that everything is 50/50 including the houses we purchased before we get married. Is this true? We both have kids and want to leave our homes to them. Should we do a living will before we get married to leave the house we each purchased individually to our kids? or sign a prenuptial agreement?
