The apartment/ triplex I live in is beeing foreclosed.

The apartment/ triplex I live in is beeing foreclosed. My lease run out this month, and the landlord (rental agency) wants a new lease signed. The landlord also says they have encountered several in past year and say they are working with the owner and bank to keep every body .

My Question is do I have to sign a new lease or can I work on a month to month basis.

  1. You can do whatever you and the landlord agree to. But if the landlord says, “Sign a lease or get out,” then those are your options.

  2. Ask your landlord if he will agree to a month to month tenancy. If not, maybe you should consider finding a new place.

  3. You can do whatever you and the landlord agree on. Being in foreclosure does not mean that you can stay month to month without approval of the landlord.
