I bought a 89 cougar for my duaghter,did not transfer title.Seller kept title until I was ready to transfer.Daughter did not want the car,so I listed it for sale.Sold to person with a bill of sale stating car is sold as-is with no warranty.She met with title holder at title agency & it was transfered legally.2 days after owning car it blew a head gasket.Now she is sueing me for $800 cost of car.Keep in mind she looked at car 2 times & test drove prior to buying.Car was fine.Can she do this.What should I expect from court.Car was never in my name & sold as-is.

I was going to sell a lady a car
I was in tennessee about a week ago and there was a lady that I worked with that wanted a vehicle, I told her i had one for sale and would take 1500.00 for it, but that I had to have it by friday becasue i was leaving to go to illinois, she said ok and with out my knowledge wnet to my bank and deposited 1000.00, she never gave me th rest of the money and i never gave her a bill of sale or title or anything I did not even go to bank with her when she made the deposit, which was by check, and since she did not pay the other 500.00 I told her in advance thati was leaving and I would not refund her money becasue I told her 1500.00 and thats not refundable.. But anyway I am just wanting to know what she can do, becasue she said she was going to go to the court and get a warrant on me if I did not let her have truck, But i did not ever get the other 500.00 and she has told everyone that I was only wanting 1000.00.. I was getting pretty sick over the whole thing so I told her she could just come to illinois and get the stupid thing,, but now she even wants me to bring it to her and not even have had to pay for the whole thing.. So do I have to give her back the money,, or can I just make it so she can come and get the rest… Thansk MArk

i moved in with my girlfriend and we were told to find a new place to live by our land lord so we did and now she want to sue me and my girlfriend for rent and damages we gave her a $400.00 deposit to cover anything like rent we were there 11 days into the month we never signed any kind of rental agreement with this lady and i only lived there for 4 months and any dammages that were there were there before i got there my girlfriend had other roommates before i moved in what can i do…??

i recently rented a car from enterprise on july 17, 2009. i provided them with all valid information they require to rent a car, and i was still refussed from renting the vehicle. they told me that the only way i can rent this vehicle was if i purchased there extra insurance coverage, i was told by the young lady who help me ” i know you dont have 12 thousands dollars in your bank to cover the car, the only way all rent you this vehicle is if you purchase our extra insurance coverage. i was forced to get this extra coverage for the vehicle. i have rented from them previously and other rental car places and never had this problem. i reviewed the rental agreement and found no were on there that i am obligated to purchase this extra coverage. I feel that the young lady was trying to get extra money out of me to make her paycheck get bigger or to meet a qouta. I feel that i have been judged and discriminated and robbed for my money. i was disturb by the way i was miss treated and discriminated, which left me with a lot of stress and my vacation was also ruined by this situation. i need to know if theres any action that could be taken against this company. Thank you!

I don’t like to vacate the house
I stay in rented house in Bangalore from last 10 to 11years, now I want to know one thing, ( owner ) father given house for rent to me 1st, then he is collected rent also 6-7 years with me, after that his house given to his daughter has a gift deed (it is not his own property and other 7 childrens is there) he don’t know English, he is singed in kannada (agreement is there in English) that time his daughter cheated him she taken signature his all property other 7-8 place also, then father taken stay order for all his property, now katha and other document is there in father name, now case is going on.
After that his daughter came to my house and she given xerox of gift deed registration copy, now me only owner for this house, you should pay rent to me only (she came with rental agreement ) she taken signature with me for 2 years validity. Now 4years over she not renewed agreement she is collecting rent every month, now she told me to vacate the house immediately within 15 Jan 2008. her father told me don’t vacate the house I will come back soon, she is not owner,
Now I don’t like to vacate the house, I am paying rent also on time but she is not given any receipt for rent, now what I should do.
