I put my things in storage and i was told it was sold. no notice in advance. i was sent a General Release and Indemnity Agreement to sign. There’s no company name on this form. How can I find out if this moving company is legit? I looked the company up on Sunbiz I didn’t see it.

My 15 year old son is coordinating the rental of a limo for prom. There will be about 30 other 15-16 year olds involved. I was planning on paying for the limo after I am reimbursed from the 30 other students. What form would I use to ensure the other parents can’t pursue a lawsuit against me in case there is an accident and/or other event that could cause injury to one or several of the participants?

I am planning a vacation at a California Dude Ranch. They have sent me a negligence release form. It basically states that I voluntarily release, forever discharge, agree to hold harmless and indemity the Ranch and all who are associated with it; if anyone is hurt or property is damaged due to the Ranches’negligence or omissions , I have no right to make a claim or file a lawsuit against it. I am concerned if something should go wrong for example an ill horse, hazardous play equipment, or other problems etc. will I be able to hold them liable or am I giving up all rights?

If someone is wrongly named in a lawsuit can they be dismissed from the case before it gets to court? If yes, by what means? Factual example: A man was property manager for an Homeowners Association. A renter slipped and fell and was injured in common area. Renter called HOA property manager to report accident. Property manager visited renter and said he’d have the normally unused path renter used repaired. Then he told HOA President about incident. President said ”have them file with HOA insurance, otherwise do nothing”. Renter filed and was awarded some money. Now three years later renter is suing HOA, rental agency and it’s owner, owner of unit, and the property manager however he is incorrectly named as the HOA President. Further, property management contract had a Hold Harmless clause. Thank you.

Please tell me the statute of limitations on indemnity. This is in regards to a lawsuit between an automobile insurance company and myself.
The insurance company is suing me for damages that they paid to their insured who ran into my stationary vehicle. The accident occured in February of 96. I was served with the lawsuit in January of this year.
Because I did not have insurance at the time of the accident and because I had a crummy attorney who dropped the ball in 96, I have recovered nothing for my damages which include a totaled vehicle, medical bills and lost wages. I tried to sue the person who ran into me in small claims court, but the judge denied my claim.
Do I have any recourse in this matter? Can I cross complain in this suit against the insurance company?
