Illegal Eviction?
As of May 31st we have been evicted from our apartment. We are current on rent and have not violated any of our lease aggreement.The landlord came to our house and gave us a notice to quit. He said that the Dracut police department went to his house and told him they are doing a drug raid of our apartment because they have been watching us for months and they have pictures and surveillance of us drug trafficking. He also told us he doesn’t know when the raid will happen so we should get out as quick as we can because DSS will be here and take the kids away. We went to the Dracut police department and spoke with someone about the allegations and they said they have absolutely no police reports from this address or anything about drug trafficking. Those are really serious allegations. We were also told by the police station he didn’t even serve us a legal eviction notice. What rights do we have? Should we fight this?

Tenant stole and disappeared
My girlfriend and I rent a 2-bedroom apartment and sublease the 2nd bedroom to her friend (OK with property manager).
She was on parole, we thought we’d give her a break. She stole my personal information and shared it with her friends and family and attempted to commit credit card fraud; luckily it failed.
She tookoff Friday and the fraud attempt happened Sunday night. Last spoke with her Monday when she begged me not to file the police report, but I did anyway.
She has not come home and does not return our phone calls. We suspect that she fled to Idaho with a plane ticket purchased illegally with an ex-boyfriends credit card.
I’ve given her a 3-Day Notice To Quit for Maintaining A Nuisance and left her a voice mail informing her (otherwise she wouldn’t know), but she has yet to acknowledge the notice.
We’ve contacted her parole officer and its likely she’ll be violated and sent back to prison.
What can I do? I need the income from that room, but it’s full of her things.
Her family can’t be trusted because some may have been involved in the fraud attempt, so I won’t contact them.
When are her belongings considered abandoned? Then what do I do with them? Goodwill?

If an 5 day notice to quit or pay rent is delivered to the tenant, and the land lord is notified in the middle of the month that the rent will be paid before the end of the month. But on that same day the land lord files a motion in small claims court for eviction on unpaid rent before the month is up and verbally agrees that they will accept the rent as long as the next months rent is on time, is the landlord still able to evict the tenant if the rent is paid before the end of the month, and do they have to accept it as long as the month has not ended yet?

I filed bankruptcy 8 days prior to being served with a 3 day notice to Quit. This was not in response to an eviction at all. I did not include back rent owed in the bankruptcy and have been to bankruptcy court already. Will the bankruptcy delay my eviction? How long? Will I have to pay back rent?
The landlord also claims that i am 9 months delinquet, claiming a balance of $5,020.00 in back rent. I have receipts to prove its only 4 months, totaling $3,065.00 in back rent. What (if any) bearing does this have on my case?
