Probate for a bank account with PNC bank
My cousin passed away last month in CA.He was residing in RedWood City,CA.I want to get the bank statements and close the bank account with PNC bank,PA.Problem is I am in Pasadena,CA and the branch doesn’t have a local branch here and I am not on the account hence I sent a letter to get myelf added to the account with a
copy of the Death Cert. and a general Power of Attorney (which the parents prepared in India).
But now they sent a letter to me to provide following information
– Original Death certificate.
– Original Letters of Testamentary/Administration.
– Orginal Short Certificate Affidavit of Domicile.
How do I get this the last 2 documents done ?
The bank account may have funds less then 10,000 which my cousin had when he was in PA State Univ.
He also had a Bank of America account which I was able to handle by just walking in a local branch here in Pasadena,CA and provide the Original Death Certificate and POW.Pls. assist how I can handle this and help the poor parents back in India who don’t even have a passport to come to US.
They have already gone through a lot and now they have to fight with this.
Thanks.

Cell phone contract
I joined T-mobile July 13 2006. Less than 2 weeks later i went in to cancel because i was getting NO service, even in my own house. All the places they say are part of their area would never work. The contract specificly states you can cancel your contract within 14 days w/ no problems, no fees etc. When i go in they tell me i signed a secondary contract which says i promise to stay w/ them for at least 4 months. I’ve been back and forth w/ the company many times. Customer service didn’t even know what a secondary contract was. So because of this secondary contract which totally contradicts the first contract i am unable to cancel my contract. I don’t understand how ONE company can give you 2 totally different contracts that contradict each other and stand by it. The T-mobile contract says i can cancel within 14 days. My question is how is it possible or legal for them to have you sign these 2 contracts that go against each other and there is nothing i can do….according to them?? Dont i have the right to cancel regardless because the first contract says i can?

Are mice in a cage considered ”pets”?
Hello. My landlady threatens to terminate the rental agreement unless I dispose of the couple of white mice I have. The rental agerement says ”no pets” and she insists that it includes white mice, even though they are contained in a solid glass enclosure and have no way to escape. Is she right?
Thanks in advance.

Does person paying half of rent, have to be on rental agreement
We’ve been renting an apartment for 12 years and there are 5 people living here. My mother is 48, my brother is 23, his girlfriend is 23, their daughter is 2, and I am 19. We’ve been having some problems with the apartment manager saying that all of us have to be included in the rental agreement. My question is, do they have the right to check our credit? For example, my brother’s girlfriend has been living with us for more than a year, and has been paying half of the rent. They just recently checked her credit to realize it was bad and is now being told to move out, if she is not put on the agreement. Do they have the right to do this? Does she have to be on the agreement?

Owner sold property, New owner gave us 30 day notice to leave– Is this legal
I have been a tenant in the place I am living for 5 years. The landlord sold the property in Nov. or December. On December 28th I received a notice from the new owner that they were terminating my tenancy and I had to be out on January 31, 2005.

I want to know if I am entitled to 60 days or 30 days? I’m not for sure because the owner sold the property and the new owner said that I am only entitled to 30 days. I was not asked to sign a new rental agreement with the new owners.

Thanks for your assistance.
