Forged Quit Claim Deed!
my ex wife seems to have had my quick claim deed forged, she is friends with both the witness and the notary who signed it. she then took out a mortgage and the house is now being forclosed on. I was served with a summons today and went online to the Volusia County website and looked at public records and thats how i know that the quick claim was forged. I also have a Satisfaction of Mortgage from when my ex and i were married. what can i do?

Quit Claim
A couple of years ago my husband and I were able to purchase a 2nd home. My mom and grandmother, who had been renters for over 10 years, live in it. We didn’t know about the cap ”lift” on the property taxes and how if it is not a homestead the taxes are outrageous. We agreed to subsidize the mortgage so that my mother and grandmother had no increase in their monthly expenses. Now for this year we are paying $800 more a month. We can’t continue to pay that amount and we are faced with the tough decision to sell the house this would mean my mom would be renting once again and it would bring us back to square one.
Can we file a Quit claim deed to my mom so she can claim it as her homestead and we can lower the taxes for this coming year 2007? or would it be better to add her to the title?

What deed would we use a Quit claim deed or a Life estate deed?

What deed would we use a Quit claim deed or a Life estate deed?
My Mother-in-Law is going to deed the house to my husband. We live with my mother-in-law in the house and we have agreed to live there with her until she passes away this was a promise my husband gave to his father (to take care of his mother she is 72 years old) She is going to deed the house to my husband so that we can put a mortgage on the house to do some major house repairs. We were told of the life estate deed and then we were told of the quit claim deed which is best for our situation for a loan and so that we can aviod probate of an estate when she passes.
