home ownership
My husband and I bought a home and some how my name only ended up being on the warranty deed. Now we are going through a divorce and his lawyer says the house belongs to my husband. Because we were in over our house, do I have any legal rights to have the house sold or is it just his house. They want me to quit claim the house to him.

How do I get my rightful share of property after breakup
I split with my boyfriend after five years of owning a home on Cape Cod Massachusetts. I moved to Florida, he refinanced the house and I was informed in order to get part of my share I needed to sign a quit claim deed. (I got approx. $20,000.00 so I did not get my full share. We purchased the home in October of 1999 at $142,000 and at the time of my departure it was worth close to $400,000.00.) Unfortunately I did. I imagine I have no recourse in this situation. To make matters worse I did another stupid thing when we got back together (briefly) and I put up $5000.00 for a downpayment on two lots in Florida and am on the deed, but so is his dad because he needed a cosigner. His dad did not invest any money and the property is all paid for now. The original price of the land was $18,500.00 and is now worth approximately $100,000.00. How do I break free and get my fair share of the land, I know he’ll put up a fight over this.

Quit Claim with lien on Property
Due to some medical expenses, a hospital attorney placed a lien on property owned by my parents. I purchased a mobile home and put it on the property and am wondering if my parents can deed the property over to me with the lien on the property. I am not interested in selling the property, but would like to be able to file for homestead exemption since I am buying the mobile home and it is my primary residence. My parents have a primary residence in another town and file homestead exemption there. The property taxes now are approximately double what they would be if I could file the homestead exemption. Thank you for your help.
