lease agreements
Am I still legally bound to my rental lease if my landlord puts the house up for sale? I would like to move out before the realtor starts showing the house. My landlord says that I have to stay in the house until my lease is up or until the house is sold, whichever comes first. Is this true?

Am I allowed to give out the personal information I have on file for my tenant to a business my tenant owes money?
My tenant breached his lease agreement by authorizing repairs to be made without notifying me. My tenant led the contractor to believe that he would be covering the cost of the repairs and that money was not an issue. My tenant is now trying to tell the contractor that I am responsible for the debt, which isn’t the case. The contractor knows that…the tenant knows that…everyone knows that. But, again, will I be breaking any laws by giving my tenants social security number / phone number, etc. to the contractor so he can pursue him for his money?

lease agreement
Hi,
We own a store and out landlord send us a notice that the lease was not execute properly. He had given an old agreement to his attorney, which does nto comply to their rules. We had re-signed an agreement 2 times after the original date and prior to commencing of store renovation. the last copy was notarised as well. Now the landlord clains that he does’nt have the latest one and that the old one still is valid. He also mentioned that file is missing now and verbally said that he will accuse us for the file being missing. I need a few clarifications on that:
1. If a lease agreement is signed a few times which one is considered legal.
2. If the landlord accuses taht he had lost the file, who will be charged for that, since we do not have access to thier files.
3. He is threatning us by saying that all thsi can be gone if we do a favor to thier relative, who is also one of our partner. What do we do in this situation?

Minimum Timely Notice
What is the minimum time required in Virginia for a Landlord or Tenant to give notice of either a change in the lease agreement or vacating the premises when the lease pertains to commercial property? There is no time limit provided in the lease. A Hold Over clause provides that the old lease provisions will remain in effect on a year to year basis in the absence of a new written agreement or the Landlord’s acquiescence. I hold that due to the nature of my business, timely notice is necessary to find new premises and have them ready to move into before a new agreement would take effect, in case I could not agree to the new provisions.
Are there any statutory time limits that protect the Landlord and/or Tenant in the event none are provided for in the lease agreement?

What financial obligations do I have with regards to my new landlord who 2 weeks ago purchased the house I rent and currently have no lease agreement with? I received a lease agreement today, stating that they want pro rated rent paid on the 26th of this month. Today is the 21st. Keep in mind I have not yet signed this agreement and do not wish to. They are making some outlandish demands that I dont feel comfortable with. Do I have any rights in this situation?
