Hello. My sister bought a mobile home for me this past year to which she said was “free and clear” to me, but yet she put her name on the title as well as mine. Now we are in a family spat and she is threatening to sell the home out from under me and my children. Is it legal for her to list this home for sale when I am on the title as well and do not agree to a sale?
Can the seller of a house legally be held financially responsible for the repair of major appliances (such as a furnace) if it can be shown that said appliances were in serious disrepair before purchase of the house? My wife bought a mobile home in Portsmouth, NH from the state, who owned it due to the previous owner of the house passing away with apparently no legal heir(s). There was no mention of the fact that the furnace was in serious disrepair in any agreements that were signed by my wife, nor was there any mention of this fact in the inspector’s report. The inspector actually verbally reported to my wife, in my presence, that the furnace was in good working order, and made no mention of any defects within the inspection report. Can we bring either/both the state and/or the inspector to court in order to recoupe our financial losses (around $4,000 so far…)?
We sold a mobile home. the buyer was to move it in 2 or 3 weeks. it’s been 2 months. can we start charging them rent until it is moved or what is our recourse?
legal right of heir
I am one of five heirs to a home on 5 acres and I want to live there and not sell. I would buy out others but I am a single mother on SSI, AFDC and childsupport and do not qulify for loans. I used to live there and when my sister became executor she made me move to sell. Sale did not go through and I cant afford my so called affordable apartment. Can I move back and live there? Selling it would cause me finacial hardship by loss of benifits unless I spend it in 30 days and I originally lived ther in a mobile home on a temporary hardship for me as a displaced family member. I want to go home! What can I do?
There was an administrative court finding regarding this mobile home and the original set up. Jim was supposed to have gotten full restitution due to inappropriate set-up etc. Jim is a diabled veteran and the original action was a class action suit of which no one has heard any more about. The date on the findings was Feb, 2003 via legal aid. They refused to pursue further even on consignment. Jim did not know what to do with it from there. Please advise. Thank you.
