renters rights
If you’ve been renting on a month to month basis in a college town can the landlord leave a note on the door and say you need to leave before the month is over?

It depends on which day of the month the note is left. When there is a month to month tenancy, a landlord must give notice at least 15 days before the next monthly rent is due. If the landlord complied with the law, then you must vacate. If the notice was after the 15th day, then the landlord must wait until the next month.
