i have a tenant that has no written lease, renting month to month a commercial piece of property. has not paid in 4 months. how much time do i give him to leave and what steps do i take, and if he refuses, what legal action can i take. thanks drew

    You will need to evict your tenant. Does not matter whether they have written lease or not. There are several steps you must follow.

    First, you should decide whether you wish to hire an attorney to handle the eviction for you or whether you have the time and resources to prepare all the necessary paperwork for yourself and potential attend several court hearings.
