In MA my year long lease expired and I let him know I wanted to extend the lease for another year. Landlord wants to go month to month, I would be a tenant at will and said he would provide a lease as such. It has been 2 months and he has not provided me with a new lease.
What happens to my security deposit and last months rent and do the original terms of the expired lease still apply?

  1. Your landlord is still responsible for the last months rent and the security deposit and your rent should remain the same until a new lease is signed, even if it is month to month.
