Manager in distress
I became the manager of a mobile home park, because the owner had asked me too. I was being underpaid and one of his other managers quit, so he decided to split up my family and I to work both parks. I told him i was only working temporarily and I would return to my regular park after a month or two. He had promised that upon my return, my family and I would be able to move into a smaller unit and thus, pay no rent for my managerial services. I told him it was time for me to go back and his wife (Also the owner), lashed out against me, in a verbal attack saying that things had changed and that their plan was to keep me at the new park. I wanted to return home and they refused and was yelled at and humiliated and I stressed out and i have a chest problem, and I couldnt breathe and I went to the hospital due to her actions. Now they want to talk, presumably to strike a deal, but I am severely underpaid and now have hospital bills to pay. I want to know if there is something I can do legally to help me out. Thank you very much.

  1. Re: Manager in distress
Your chest problems were aggravated by work related stress. Your remedy may to to contact an attorney that does workers compensation cases and determine if you have a case. You employer should have workers compensation insurance which would pay for your medical treatment.
