new owners/lease
I moved in 2/04 and signed a one year lease. Since then we have had new managers and new owners. No new lease was signed. Does this mean I am on a month to month? Do the same rules from the original lease/owners still apply? Also, how long do you have to live in an apt. before they change the carpet? than you…

You already became month-to-month lessees in 2/05. The same rules apply unless notified in writing of changes in terms. I don’t think there are any rules about when a carpet should be changed. If it’s torn and dangerous, obviously it needs to be changed.
