Sixty day notice
My father has its own Flower Business. He has been renting about ten acres with this owner for about 8 years. Recently we recieved a 60 Day notice to quit using the property. The problem is that that is not enough time to finish growing/farming our last crops. IF we are only given two months to leave, then we are looking at a huge loss of money. Do we have any right for reinbursement? or can ask for more time to finish farming our last crops?

I am currently a tenant in a house that was foreclosed by the city of Lynn on a tax lien. In June the city tried to be sneaky and just throw me out, claiming code violations (all in the cellar) and no occupancy permit declaring it uninhabitable. I filed a motion for a TRO and I went to a mediation hearing with a housing specialist and we agreed they would give me until Aug 30. In June when I got home from court there was a water shut off notice on the door, I notified the city atty and he said it is all set for now, but only until Sept 1 then it will be shut off. Now my problem is that I have not yet found a suitable place and I need more time. The city attorney is not a reasonable person and he only agreed to give me until Aug 30 because he failed to issue me a written notice to quit. If I am not ready to leave Aug 30 can they just kick me out or shut off the water? I still never received any notice, we just had an agreement we signed back in June. The city’s reasoning is that the heating system is non operable and the city will not spend any $$ on repairs because they already existed prior to foreclosure. Is the city legally responsible as my landlord to repair this and other violations? If I just stay put will they have to go through the whole evictions process from step 1? I feel as though they have an unfair advantage where if it were a mortgage foreclosure the bank would have to make the repairs or face legal consequences, the city seems to think they can do whatever they please including having their own officials just condemn it. Please advise me on any options I may have. I do plan to purchase a “fixer upper” possibly in the same city so I’d rather not make an enemy, however he is not a reasonable person to just approach and ask for more time.

Payment of rent
My lease states that ”After notice required by law, i the event the Landlord does not receive from the tenant any payment of rent or other charge by the tenth day of the month for which it is due, the Tenant waives any notice to quit…” My question is, if I have paid $200 towards my rent, can I be evicted?

Wrongful Termination
I gave my notice to quit the company I worked for because my director yelled at me in front of 5 Co-workers (all men) saying my work was in error, in fact it was not, the information he received was in error. He would not give me a chance to show his information was in error. I felt humiliated and degraded. The next day I talked with the president of the company (he was out of town at the time) explained the problem, he gave me my job back. The next week the president changed his mind and said he was accepting my resignation.
He did give me six weeks of full benifits and full pay. I just received documents from the company that I am to sign and return. The documents say that I quit and the reason was “Too much work”. These documents will damage my work record of 30 years as well as effect my unemployment benifits. HELP!

Telephone Installation Charges
A tenant that rents a apartment connected to my house has asked to hook up a landline telephone. This has never been an issue with tenants in the past since they used cell phones. She said I am required to supply a working telephone line. This can be done but it costs $100 to make the necessary connections. She is withholding this amount from her rent. I know I have to have the capability of her being able to have a telephone but does the necessary work have to be done at my expense. This was never discussed when I rented her the apartment.
If it is not my responsibility, can I give her a 3-day notice to quit or pay rent for this amount owing on the rent?
