Illegal forclousure
I am delenquint on my morgage payments. Attempted to address the issue with Ditech to no avail. I received a notice in the mail. first notice was for me to vacate the property by July 15th and accept $5000 in cash. Later would be $2500 in cash. This same letter with a notice to quit came from a local realestate firm. It also suggested I call this firm which I did. I asked what is going on. I knew I was delinqent in payments. But Had no contacts from anyone. However, again I did try noone would listen. THis firm then said I will be receiving a phone call from this lawyer from LA. Three days later waiting for this phone call I called my son while at work and asked if there were anymore envelopes simuliar to this one. He said one more came in the street mailbox. This one had no stamp return or delivery address on it. But it did have my name written on it (BOB) I Proceded to open the letter, within the letter was a notice to quit including a $100 Bill. Attached to it was a yellow sticky note saying this is for gas. I can only assume this $100 was to help support me moving my belongings out of my house which i had 45 days to do so. House was sold they thought I was a tenant. This is bull. No money but need A lawyer. More information

Landlord – Notice to Quit
Myself and my wife are having yet more problems with my landlord.
We have just been issued a notice to quit, based on non-payment of rent. However, we have a bank statement that confirms the cheque has been cashed and deducted from the account.
This, I’m sure, is a misunderstanding on the landlords end, however, given that 2 months ago we got her cited for 5 health code violations, I believe this is retaliation for this event. Also, she has still failed to correct 1 of the violations.
What is your advice on the best course of action we should follow?

Problems with evicted tenant
I evicted a tenant who then moves in with another tenant in my building. They are now on the verge of losing their apartment for brech of contract. This former tenant is a BIG problemm and so are her kids. I know I need a 30 day Notice to Quit but I’ve run into problems. HELP!

I have a notice to quit temination of tennacy letter for nonpayment of rent. I am currently 12 days late and paid 800 dollars and submitted a letter to pay the 450 this Friday, before being sent this notice. Should I still send the money since I recieve this letter or wait and go to court?

Personal debt between individuals and the involvement of an employer.
My stepdaughter incurred a debt from a friend who happened to be a co-worker of her boyfriend. The funds were to be used to pay rent in which they had fallen behind. An agreement was signed stating that she would be the person to repay the debt. She has become pregnant and is not working at this time. Her boyfriend gave notice to quit in order to change jobs and was fired. He was then told that his former employer would be giving his check to the employee my stepdaughter owes the debt to, who would then pass the check onto the boyfriend in order for him to go to the bank, cash it and pay off the debt. The former co-worker feels that since my stepdaughter is not working that her debt then becomes the boyfriend’s. They are not married and have not been together enough time for a common law marriage so I feel the debt is still solely my stepdaughter’s responsibility. Am I right? Also I don’t feel it is legal for the employer to get involved since the debt arrangement was not made with the company, but an employee on a personal level. The employer should hand the paycheck over to the employee it is made out to. Am I correct? All parties are of legal age.
