Terminating a Lease
If an existing lease to rent an apartment has a duration of one year, terminating on Dec. 31st, but the landlord has added a paragraph stating ”after Mar.31st, if apartment is sold he can require the tenant to leave with 15 day notice” does the lease then become a month to month rental in which the tenant can give a 30 day notice to vacate?

A review of the actual lease is required for an answer to this question. It is a lease interpretation issue, and the actual document controls. Of course, if the lease is ambiguous, there can be a problem.
