Breaking a Lease Agreement
My fiance and I have a one year lease agreement. He just lost his job in December and we can no longer afford to pay the rent, nor can we afford to buy out the lease. I realize that we will be evicted if we do not pay the rent but is there any legal action that the apartment can take?

They can evict you and file an action to collect the money owed. If they get a judgment, they can attach accounts or garnish wages.
