is this legal
I owned a home and needed money to fiox it up to sell, i had no credit so was talked into a quit claim and when the house sold i was to get my money but the person didnt do that he kept it all and left me with nothing is therte anything i can do ?

Sounds like fraud to me or at least breach of trust. The problem is proving it. Witnesses can testify, including you, any available documents might help, it will help to show that no money went to the other party, in other words it was not a sale, and that you had no intention of making a gift.
You need an attorney for this one, and will likely need to file suit. Also, more facts are needed to give a proper opinion.
